What is Verified Status?
Verification connects you with a sending organization on HopeGives, confirming that you are an active, accountable missionary. It builds donor confidence and enables tax-deductible giving.

Requirements
To become a verified missionary, you need:
- A HopeGives account with complete profile
- A sending organization that is registered on HopeGives
- That organization must have "Allow Missionaries" enabled
- Approval from the organization
Application Process
Step 1: Find Your Organization and Apply
Click the drop down profile and go to Become a Verified Missionary and search for your sending organization on HopeGives. If they're not registered, ask them to claim their organization first.
Step 2: Complete the Application
Provide information including:
- Your role/position
- Ministry description
- Field of service
- Your connection to the organization
- Any additional information the organization requires
Step 3: Submit and Wait
Your organization will review your application. You'll receive an email when a decision is made.
What If My Organization Isn't on HopeGives?
Options:
- Ask your organization to register on HopeGives
- Provide them with information about the benefits
- You can still fundraise if you have your own 501(c)(3) Nonprofit that you can register.
After Verification
Once verified, you can:
- Create campaigns with your verified badge
- Be listed under your organization's profile
- Access additional reporting features
